Try to remain positive Mike, summer is around the corner. Keep walking (not in shopping malls which are seething with germs) but in parks and open spaces. Hope you recover soon and completely, it's easy to start feeling a bit low when we are unwell ( from someone as old as you and speaks from experience).

Thanks Mike for sharing with us. I also come from a similar situation and experience. I shan’t tire you with my health stories other than of the final result of having experienced heart failure due to cardiomyopathy (could have been viral/genetic unknown) awaiting a bi-ventricular pacemaker which I prey will assist by improving the blood pumps and so get me out of this bed. Arrived at Waikato Hospital on Monday for the treatment, lour in and about to go off to surgery and it was cancelled for the second time. Of coarse I felt devastated but after learning that my cardiac surgeon, only one of two who do this surgery at that hospital, was off sick with terminal cancer and the other was taken away to do the ward work, I didn’t feel quite so rotten. We can’t understand another’s pain or journey without experiencing it alright and it could be worse. Hang on to Hope.

I hope your road to recovery quickens each day. Life is indeed precious, and the very subjects you've written about today were discussed by my husband and I this morning. Take care.
